Graduate Schools
Seikei University offers graduate programs in all its faculties and departments (except those departments reorganized in 2000). Graduate Schools comprise a first term or Master's degree program, and a second term or Doctoral degree program. While constantly working on the enhancement of educational programs and facilities, the Graduate Schools pursue a wide range of research from cutting-edge fields to research with high social and cultural value.

Graduate School of Economics
Master's Program and Doctoral Program in Economics
Students develop the specialized capabilities for making accurate
determinations of our dynamically changing economy, and respond to the changing times from a macro perspective. There are two Master's programs. One requires writing a Master's thesis, while the other requires a broad array of course work in economic dynamics and the submission of a report on special research in place of a thesis.
Graduate School of Business
Master's Program and Doctoral Program in Business
Students learn to interpret our complex and diverse contemporary society and develop the sophisticated capabilities expected of superlative researchers and professionals in business management and accounting. To earn Doctoral degrees in business, Doctoral program students conduct in-depth research with the aim of becoming scholars with originality who can contribute to academia. There is also a special business course (a one-year course in the Master's program) for working businesspeople to produce specialized professionals.
Graduate School of Law and Political Science
Master's Programs and Doctoral Programs in Law and Political Science
Students enhance the broad horizons and logical thinking needed in an
increasingly internationalized society while conducting advanced research in the specialized fields of law and political science. These programs cultivate the academic research capabilities needed to produce wide-ranging research that benefits society and academia, and fosters the ability to solve the variety of problems facing human society.
Graduate School of Humanities
Master's Programs and Doctoral Programs in English and American
Literature, Japanese Literature, and Socio-Cultural Sciences
This School aims to explore and understand human qualities as conceived from a broad horizon and through hints provided by language, literature, culture, and the media that cover the gamut of contemporary society. Students exercise more autonomy than undergraduates, such as in detailed investigations of highly specialized themes, or in conducting research by linking fields related to their themes. The School also has credit transfer agreements for all majors with graduate schools at other universities to facilitate research and academic exchange.
Graduate school of Science and Technology
Master's Programs and Doctoral Programs in Electrical Engineering and Electronics, Applied Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering, Information Science, and Applied Physics
All these majors get many of their students from Seikei's undergraduate programs, and students use the knowledge gained there as a springboard to achieve greater scholarship and build their research capabilities from wider horizons. Much pioneering research is performed in various fields and closely watched not only within academia but also broadly throughout society. Graduates find positions in research and development at research institutes and corporations, or work at universities as instructors or in other positions.
Law School
Small-class instruction, linking theory and business practice in the Legal Professional Training Course program.
Practical Education with a Strong Backing in Corporate Law
A meticulous approach is taken to practical education, placing the focus on corporate law. The goal is to cultivate corporate law staffers and attorneys capable of manifesting knowledge skills in international business negotiations, intellectual property disputes and other key areas. The benchmark is a “law school with a forte in corporate law,” supported by strong collaboration with Mitsubishi Group companies closely tied to Seikei Gakuen.

Small Class System Passes on Seikei Traditions
The proud Seikei tradition of small-class instruction has been instilled in the Law School as well. The admissions quota of 50 students is divided between the Condensed Law Study Course (2 years) and the Full-Term Law Study Course (3 years), with the interactive class programs taught to groups of approximately 20 students. To complement this, each student also receives individualized counseling and guidance.

Strengthened Internationalism to Excel Overseas
The highly diversified faculty, including educators with experience on committees in the World Trade Organization, the International Law Association and other international agencies, researcher graduates of US law schools with teaching experience and others with high qualifications, offer instruction in negotiation methods based on actual experience, legal English, contract preparation in English and other subjects.

Besides Faculty of Law Graduates, Program is Open to Members of the Workforce as Well
In keeping with a law school’s fundamental mission of nurturing legal professionals from a broad viewpoint that addresses the new judicial system, the School’s doors are also open to students from faculties other than their school’s faculty of law, as well as to working professionals and others. Particularly welcome are persons with faculty of engineering backgrounds interested in patents, those hailing from faculties of economics with an inherent attraction to corporate law, corporate law staffers and others.
