Trustworthiness among Peers in Peers(2P2) Overlay Networks in Asia-Pacific Area.(2009-2011)

[Purpose]
P2P overlay networks are scalable distributed systems Which are composed of peer processes without centraized controllers. Here, it is critical for each peer to recognize how much to peer can trust other peers. In this project, we would like to formalize the trustworthiness among peers by cooperation of Asian researchers.

Invention of Identities and Development of Pluralism—from the Perspective of Asia/China(2010-2012)

[Purpose]
This project, by surveying the present situation of Asian developing countries, especially China, examines the possiblity of and its philosophical drive for founding cultural and social pluralism in the world growing border-less under the concept of globalization. It also discusses how the intellectual interaction between Asia and the West would make it feasible to propose a kind of Asian uniqueness vis-a-vis Western trend of "globalization".

Development of highly-efficient water clarification material using clay minerals(2010)

[Purpose]
In the country and the region of Asia in which population and development rapidly increase, water pollution problems caused by industrial and domestic wastewater are becoming more serious. A low-cost technology of water environmental protection and purification is desired in these areas. In this study, it aims at the development of low-cost and highly-efficient water clarification material using a clay mineral which is one of the supracrustal typical components.
