Master’s Programs and Doctoral Programs in Science and Technology

This major aims to provide a systematic connection from the three departments of the Faculty of Science and Technology, including the Department of Materials and Life Science, the Department of Computer and Information Science, and the Department of Systems Design Engineering, to the Graduate School. Based on the social mission demanded of the field of science and technology, three courses including the Materials and Life Science Course, the Computer and Information Science Course, and the Electrical and Mechanical Engineering Course, are offered in the major program of the Graduate School of Science and Technology. This major also actively promotes joint research with various companies, enabling students to acquire practical skills. Students of the Graduate School receive research guidance on an individual level in an enhanced research environment and facilities. In addition, a scholarship system targeting all students is made available to support their campus life.

Courses

Materials and Life Science Course

This course aims to nurture engineers who can venture into the creation of new technologies or to cultivate knowledge in researchers by helping them acquire wide-ranging basic knowledge and technologies in the fields including materials and nano sciences, bio and life sciences and environment and energy.

Computer and Information Science Course

This course aims to nurture leading engineers of the information science field who can venture into the creation of innovative technologies or to cultivate knowledge in researchers by helping them acquire a broad knowledge and advanced research techniques in various fields from hardware, networking and applications fields to mathematical, management and computational science fields.

Electrical and Mechanical Engineering Course

This course aims to nurture engineers or researchers who can contribute to society with their advanced expertise and high ethical standards by helping students acquire a deep knowledge and cultivating the research and development capabilities necessary to perform creative and outstanding research and developments in the field of manufacturing technology, in which mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and electronics, and industrial engineering are combined.
