Global Studies and Sustainability

With the goal to realize a sustainable Earth and society, the program aims to nurture individuals who, from both theoretical and practical perspectives, explore the culture, region and environment of Japan and the world. The goal is to address global and local challenges collaboratively, fostering individuals with interdisciplinary understanding in humanities and sciences. The faculty also aims to cultivate individuals with strong communicative skills, collaborative abilities, and analytical minds, so they can actively participate in the international society where people with diverse backgrounds are expected to work together.
To this end, the faculty will provide ample opportunities for students to improve their English skills, take various specialized courses taught in English, and participate in fieldwork in Japan and overseas. Data analysis training will also be promoted as part of the fundamental skills.
