The Seikei Gakuen Archives preserves and shares materials that document the school’s history and educational ideals since the time of its founding. Visitors can learn about the vision of our founder, Haruji Nakamura, explore how the school has changed over time, and appreciate the traditions that have endured. We invite you to experience Seikei’s heritage in our bright and welcoming exhibition Space.

Floor Guide

Ground Floor (1F)

Guidance Room: Seikei Gakuen adheres firmly to the guiding principles of its founder, Haruji Nakamura. Why did Mr. Nakamura choose the path of education, and what was his philosophy for education? Learn the origin of Seikei-style education and how the school developed thereafter through informative videos.
Haruji Nakamura Memorial Room: Visitors can learn about the school founder Haruji Nakamura’s 46-year life through his ancestry, upbringing, family, friends, and interests. Learn about this fascinating man through videos and materials including his heirlooms, writings, and paintings.
Seikei Education Exhibit Room: This room introduces the innovative educational methods that were introduced by Haruji Nakamura and formed the origin of Seikei education. There is also an area where you can try Gyonen concentration and Shinryokuka (THE POWER OF THE SOUL).

First Floor (2F)

Gakuen History Exhibit Room I: Visitors can learn the origins of Seikei Gakuen through various documents and pictures, from the time its former incarnation “Seikei-en” opened until the time the campus was located in Ikebukuro.
Gakuen History Exhibit Room II: This room introduces the history of Seikei Gakuen from when the campus was moved to Kichijoji, to the subsequent opening of its seven-year system high school, and its development into an integrated educational institution from elementary school to graduate school following the post-WWII educational system reforms.

Donations of Materials: If you wish to donate materials, please contact the Archives Office in advance.
Please understand that we may decline donations if similar materials are already held or if proper preservation is not possible.
All donated materials will be handled at the discretion of the Archives.
