My research is about the Tokyo Olympics in 2020. The methodology is that my data is from 106 respondents and I used questionnaires, and I set 9 questions about what people think about the Tokyo Olympics and increasing the number of visitors in Japan. From this data, many people are looking forward to holding the Tokyo Olympics and its economic effects. Also, they hope it makes us happy.

Furui, Hiro"Can folklore be tourism resources?"

I have studied about a standard of Ethnology and Youkaigaku, and I have researched about folklore in Tokyo especially in this term.
I had a hypothesis "Folklore can be tourism resources." and I did field work to visit stages of folklore directly.
In results, it is difficult to be tourism resources, because there are no descriptions for foreigners and it is not enough of entertainment.

I research about the reason for students to work part time and this study reveals that many students have some kinds of part time job and a lot of students work for money because they need money to live a good school days . However, the result of this study shows that some students work for other reasons like they are invited by someone, it is easy to work and so on. Someone do not have any part time job because some students do not have enough time to work, others do not have to work.

People overseas have various images towards Japan and its people. Images of Japan were analyzed in two ways: first, this study discovered "How Japan looks like" by analyzing the opinions of foreigners and second, Japanese participants' opinions identified aspects of Japanese self-understanding. The comparison between the images of the two groups identified new ways to enhance Japanese images in preparation of The 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

Are there cultural differences between Japan and Western countries today? This paper looks at cultural differences focused on advertisement in Japan and Western countries. I collected historical data from published articles and the latest data by observation. I found that Japanese TV commercials tend to set consumers laughing with jokes and regard how they give impact to consumers as important. On the other hand, the product's impact is more important than humor in Western commercials.

Kuwabata, AnnaChild poverty in Japan

This study examined child poverty in Japan and compared attitudes of poverty of Japanese with those in America. A survey of Japanese university students identified Japanese university students` attitudes towards this issue. Results show that although child poverty is a very serious issue in Japan, compared to Americans, Japanese are not aware of child poverty. More awareness and recognition of this issue is necessary.

Maezawa, ChihiroWomen`s participation in the workforce and the affect of the decreasing birth rate in Japan

Japan is suffering from decreasing birth rate and the government is trying to deal with it, however, it is not effective and women's participation into the workforce become a problem at the same time. This study analyzed the measures implemented by Finland that were successful to increase the birth rate and attitudes of Japanese towards child care and labor force participation. The results indicate that the declining birth rate is due to concern about money and suggests that similar measures utilized in Finland could be successful in Japan.

I conducted a questionnaire to know how Japanese students think of gender roles and how much gender equality has been realized in specific situations. The results show that most students disagree with gender roles. and I found that the way they feel toward gender equality is different depending on situations.

The purpose of the study is to know the right amount of sleep to get a good score in our test and it was predicted to be about 6 to 8 hours. The results shows that their was only a little difference on the result between who slept 6 to 8 hours and less than 6 hours. University students can get up later than other age groups, so they can study until midnight to get a good score, but the most important thing is to find a suitable amount of sleep for you.

This research examined how animal health centers can be effective. Recently, the number of slaughtered animals has decreased in Japan, yet the data depends on the local area. This study focuses on the opinions of Japanese towards late marriage. This quantitative study collected the opinions of 200 Japanese participants (100 college age students and 100 after college age participants), to compare their attitudes towards late marriage. The results showed that college age students expect to marry earlier than after working age participants. Also, there were differences in attitudes and expectations of men and women.
